Spunt Carin Gives Back: Me Sollaway Honors Aunt Sheila with Hope & Cope
At Spunt Carin, we are deeply moved by the personal stories and meaningful causes our team members choose to support through our “SC Gives Back” initiative. This month, Me Sollaway, one of our talented lawyers, chose to honor the memory of her late aunt Sheila by selecting Hope & Cope as the charity for our Jean Day. Sheila was the founder of Hope & Cope, a Montreal-based organization that provides emotional and psychological support to individuals affected by cancer. For Me, this charity holds a special place in her heart, as it was through her aunt’s vision that so many people found comfort and strength during their cancer journey.
Hope & Cope offers a wide range of services, including counseling, support groups, and educational workshops, to help individuals and families cope with the emotional challenges that come with cancer diagnosis and treatment. Me’s decision to highlight Hope & Cope during our Jean Day was not only a tribute to his aunt’s legacy but also a way to continue her aunt’s mission of providing hope and healing to those in need. Employees were encouraged to participate by donating, and the funds raised went directly to supporting the charity’s ongoing programs and services.
It was deeply emotional for Me Solloway as he saw his aunt’s vision live on through the generosity and support of the Spunt Carin team. We are proud to be part of this meaningful cause and grateful for the opportunity to honor Sheila’s incredible legacy of compassion and care. Through our collective contributions, we hope to continue supporting the vital work of Hope & Cope, ensuring that those facing cancer can find the emotional and psychological support they need.
