ALS Research with Charity Jean Day - GIVING BACK

Spunt Carin Gives Back: Stephanos Supports ALS Research with Charity Jean Day

At Spunt Carin, we believe in using our platform to support meaningful causes, and our recent “SC Gives Back” Jean Day was a powerful reminder of that commitment. This time, it was Stephanos, one of our articling students, who chose the charity for the event, selecting the ALS Society of Canada. His decision to support ALS research was deeply personal — Stephanos shared that a friend from high school had been diagnosed with this devastating neurodegenerative disease, which left a profound impact on him.

ALS, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness, loss of motor function, and, ultimately, respiratory failure. For Stephanos, the choice to raise awareness and funds for ALS research was a way to honor his friend’s struggle and help find a cure for this devastating condition. Through Spunt Carin’s Jean Day, employees were encouraged to donate in exchange for wearing jeans to work, and the funds raised went directly to the ALS Society of Canada to support research and patient care.

At Spunt Carin, we’re proud of how our team rallies behind causes that matter to our team, and we’re thankful to Stephanos for bringing awareness to ALS and inspiring us all to contribute to a cause so close to his heart. Through collective action, we hope to help fund research that will one day lead to a cure for ALS, offering hope to those battling the disease and their families.
